Facedle
Identify a famous person from a heavily tiled portrait in six guesses, with every incorrect or skipped attempt revealing a larger part of the face.
The official game is loaded above. If it does not respond, open the publisher’s site in a new tab.
Why it stands out
Every wrong name buys a clearer face at the cost of a cleaner solve.
Facedle creates a clear risk-reward choice around recognition. Guessing early preserves a stronger result, while each miss deliberately buys more visual information.
Best for
- Pop-culture players who recognize faces from small visual fragments.
- People who enjoy a short reveal puzzle with visible progress after each miss.
Think twice if
- Players with little interest in international celebrity recognition.
The game’s autocomplete prevents arbitrary free-text submissions and ties each attempt to a specific person. In the verified round, a Tom Hanks guess reduced the counter from six to five and exposed more of the portrait.
That reveal-after-error loop makes uncertainty visible. A player can make an aggressive early identification from hair or color, or wait until the facial structure becomes much harder to misread.
How to play
- Inspect the partially covered portrait and search for a famous person by name.
- Select a person from the autocomplete list and submit the guess.
- Use the additional tiles revealed after a wrong guess or skip to identify the person within six attempts.
