Why it stands out
A confident color memory becomes a surprisingly public mistake.
Dialed creates a reaction without needing trivia or elaborate rules. The player feels certain about a color, commits to three visible controls, and immediately sees how far that confidence drifted from the original.
Best for
- Players who enjoy short perception tests with an immediately comparable score.
- Friends, calls, and audiences who like making a private guess before the player reveals theirs.
Think twice if
- Players whose color-vision needs are not met by hue-based comparison tasks.
Dialed’s first round makes the premise visible without a tutorial. One color fills the play area, disappears, and leaves three controls for rebuilding it. Submitting the guess places the player’s selection beside the original with both HSB readings and a numerical score.
That reveal is why the game works with an audience: other people can hold their own version of the target in mind before the sliders settle. There is also direct adoption evidence rather than only a theoretical fit. BetaKit reported that Color’s demand accelerated after XQC, Jynxzi, and ohnePixel played it, while noting that popular-streamer sessions can produce large traffic spikes.
How to play
- Study the target color shown at the start of each of the five rounds.
- After it disappears, adjust the hue, saturation, and brightness sliders to recreate it from memory.
- Submit the selection to reveal both colors, their HSB values, and the round score before continuing.
