Satle
Guess a city from a satellite image in six tries; every incorrect answer zooms farther out and returns the direction and distance to the target.
The official game is loaded above. If it does not respond, open the publisher’s site in a new tab.
Why it stands out
Every miss changes both your direction and the scale of the evidence.
Satle makes scale part of the puzzle. A wrong guess does more than point elsewhere: it also zooms the image out, changing which roads, coastlines, and urban patterns are available as evidence.
Best for
- Map and geography players who enjoy reading cities from overhead structure.
- Visual solvers who want each failed guess to reveal a wider scene.
Think twice if
- Players who need famous landmarks or street-level signs to identify a place.
Satle’s autocomplete requires a city-country selection rather than arbitrary text. In the verified round, a Paris submission produced a distance of more than nineteen thousand kilometres and a southeast arrow.
The next image was visibly wider than the opening view. That progressive zoom is the core recovery mechanic: the puzzle trades precision for context each time the city remains unsolved.
How to play
- Inspect the initial close satellite view and search for a city and country.
- Select the city from the autocomplete list and submit it as one of six guesses.
- Use the returned direction, distance, and wider image after a miss to move toward the target city.
