Verified round model

How a round of Thinky Dailies works.

Objective, input, feedback and stopping condition checked 21 September 2026.

Objective

Solve the selected puzzle under its own rules; in Season 4 puzzle 1, partition the entire grid into rotationally symmetric regions.

Your move

Reveal the puzzle and use its board controls. The checked Spiral Galaxies board accepts boundary marks and cell-to-cell grouping marks.

What changes

The selected puzzle provides illustrated rule examples, an on-page hint sequence, and board editing controls.

Round end

The selected board must satisfy its puzzle-specific constraints; for Spiral Galaxies, every region needs exactly one centered circle and 180-degree symmetry.

Why it stands out

Read each puzzle's rules before carrying over yesterday's deductions.

The changing puzzle types make reading the rules part of each visit. In the checked Spiral Galaxies opener, you can deduce region boundaries from the outer grid edges before drawing an internal border.

Best for

  • Solvers who want a sequence of authored logic puzzles with changing rules.
  • Players who enjoy illustrated story scenes between puzzle boards.

Think twice if

  • Players who want the same mechanic every morning throughout the year.

The rules belong to the selected puzzle

Thinky Dailies groups its puzzles into seasons with an illustrated story. A new season is a useful place to begin, though the archive lets you catch up at your own pace. Expect to read a fresh set of instructions when the puzzle type changes.

The board pictured here is Ready To Go?, the September 15 opener for Season 4 by JinHoo Ahn. It uses Spiral Galaxies: divide the suitcase grid into regions, put exactly one marked center in each region, and make every region look unchanged after a half-turn around its center. These rules apply to that board, not to the whole collection.

Start with the outer boundary

In this opener, a center near an outside edge limits how far its region can extend in the opposite direction. Match a known border with its half-turn counterpart. Once you enclose one region, use that new boundary to constrain its neighbor.

The page’s hint sequence demonstrates this edge-matching method on specific objects in the suitcase. Read one hint, return to the board, and try to extend the deduction before opening the next. Later hints reveal individual region shapes, so they can spoil more than the next move.

Plan around seasons

Season 4 began on September 15, 2026. The official announcement describes a return after a break; there is no basis for promising a new puzzle every day between seasons. Use earlier seasons when the current run is finished.

The checked puzzle is free and opens anonymously. Sign-in is optional for cross-device progress. We have not assigned one completion time or difficulty to a collection whose rules change between puzzles.

For a recurring puzzle with consistent controls, Daily Hashi uses the same island-and-bridge rules each day. Choose Thinky Dailies when learning another logic system is part of the appeal.

How to play

  1. Select a puzzle from the current season or an earlier season and read the illustrated introduction.
  2. Reveal the board and read that puzzle's rules before making marks; the puzzle genre changes across the series.
  3. For Season 4 puzzle 1, draw borders to divide the grid into regions, each centered on one circle and symmetric under a half-turn.

Before you play

Questions before you play.

Does Thinky Dailies update every day?
New puzzles arrive daily during a season. There are breaks between seasons, so daily does not mean an uninterrupted year-round schedule.
Do you need a Thinky Games account?
The checked puzzle opened without signing in. An optional account lets you save progress across devices.
Are all Thinky Dailies puzzles Spiral Galaxies?
No. Spiral Galaxies is the checked Season 4 opener; other puzzles have their own genres and instructions. Read the rules on each puzzle page.
