Verified round model

How a round of Packle: Daily Packing works.

Objective, input, feedback and stopping condition checked 8 September 2026.

Objective

Fit every item inside the case while satisfying all of the day’s written spatial constraints.

Your move

Drag items between the tray and case, select an item, and use Rotate when another orientation is needed.

What changes

The board shows how many items remain outside the case and provides checkboxes for manually tracking each rule; the submitted result reports how many rules held.

Round end

Pressing Pack commits the arrangement as the final attempt; the round succeeds only when every item fits and every listed rule is satisfied.

Why it stands out

Solve the relationships before filling the suitcase.

Items tied to an edge have fewer legal positions than items governed only by contact or above/below rules. Placing those restricted shapes first leaves more room for the remaining relationships. Pack accepts one final submission, so checking the finished layout is part of solving it.

Best for

  • Solvers who enjoy translating written relationships into a compact spatial arrangement.
  • Players who prefer one deliberate daily submission over repeated trial-and-error checks.

Think twice if

  • Players who want immediate automatic confirmation after every move.
  • Solvers who dislike reading several conditional rules before touching the board.

Place edge-constrained items first

An edge rule may leave an item only a handful of legal cells, while a forbidden contact usually leaves many. Start with the edge items. Add above/below rules next, then join the pieces that must touch. This turns a page of separate sentences into a few connected groups.

If the boots must sit above the t-shirt and the t-shirt must touch two named objects, reserve enough room for that whole group. Placing the boots alone has settled only one part of the problem.

Same name, different puzzle

The Packle at packle.top asks players to estimate how many circles fit in a shape. The game at playpackle.com uses draggable belongings and written spatial constraints. They share a name and little else.

A useful order for the six items

  1. Place pieces tied to a specific edge.
  2. Rotate awkward shapes while the case is still open.
  3. Build required-contact groups around those anchors.
  4. Use unrestricted rectangles to fill the remaining gaps.

Rules containing “at most” deserve another look after step four. A last piece can create an extra neighbor even when it fits perfectly. Pieces without a required contact make useful gap fillers. Rotate restricted shapes before surrounding them, since a late turn may invalidate several neighboring placements.

Stop before Pack

Treat the checkboxes as manual notes. Trace the finished layout against the actual rule list: edge counts, required contacts, forbidden contacts, then relative positions. Confirm that all six items are inside and the remaining count is zero. Pressing Pack submits the arrangement immediately.

How to play

  1. Read every rule before moving an item; rules may require an edge, forbid or require contact, limit neighbors, or set one item above another.
  2. Drag each shaped item into the case and rotate the selected item when its orientation needs to change.
  3. Fit all items without overlap, recheck the rule list, and use the final Pack button when the arrangement is ready to be judged.

Before you play

Questions before you play.

What is the goal in Packle?
Place every item inside the case and make the final arrangement satisfy all of the day’s edge, contact, and position rules.
Can you submit several Packle arrangements?
The live game labels Pack as final, so the intended daily decision is one committed arrangement rather than repeated validation.
Does Packle require an account?
No. The current daily board, tutorial choice, items, and final Pack control opened in an anonymous browser; sign-in is optional.
Is this the same Packle already listed at packle.top?
No. They share a name, but playpackle.com is a belongings-and-constraints puzzle while packle.top is a circle-packing guessing game.
