Stackdown

Word & LogicDailyNot confirmed

Clear a layered stack by selecting exposed letter tiles that form five-letter words, revealing the next choices underneath.

The official game is loaded above. If it does not respond, open the publisher’s site in a new tab.

Why it stands out

Word finding becomes route planning once the tiles overlap.

The board makes sequence matter. Finding a valid word is only half the task; using the wrong exposed letters can leave a less useful arrangement underneath.

Best for

  • Word solvers who like planning several removals ahead instead of finding isolated answers.
  • Players who enjoy a tactile board with a visible end state.

Think twice if

  • Players who prefer clues or definitions over unconstrained word finding.

Stackdown’s useful twist is visible before the first move: letters are not presented as a flat pool. Tiles overlap, so removing one five-letter word exposes a different set of possibilities for the next.

That turns a familiar vocabulary task into a sequence problem. The official game also supplies an archive, statistics, best times, and sharing, but Daily Game Index has not yet assigned a typical completion time or difficulty band.

How to play

  1. Look across the exposed letter tiles at the top of the stack.
  2. Tap five available letters to form a valid five-letter word.
  3. Submit the word to remove those tiles, reveal the layer below, and continue until the stack is clear.
